About this archive
Preserving a very specific internet era
The Banter Archive is a static, non-commercial catalogue built to make a fragile slice of internet culture easier to find later.
What this is
This site is a fan-run preservation project. It collects basic metadata about Banter-era recordings and points to mirrors hosted on third-party services like Google Drive and Spotify. There are no logins, comments, or algorithms here—just a clean index.
As platforms shift, links die, and feeds reshuffle, it becomes harder to locate specific episodes or moments that people remember only by vibe or quote. The goal of this archive is to provide a stable, low-friction directory for that material.
How playback works
All playback happens through embeds:
- Google Drive mirrors are loaded only after you click the Play mirror button on an episode page, which creates an in-place video iframe.
- Spotify embeds are rendered from trusted Spotify embed URLs. If an entry has extra audio that never made it to the main feed, it will usually be listed under a dedicated Spotify-only episode.
